Minimal Asset Process (MAP) Scotland

Service is available if:

1. Your disposable income is zero or is derived solely from benefits
2. Your debts below £25k
3. You are not a homeowner
4. You do not have assets that exceed £2k in value
5. You do not have a vehicle that exceeds £3k in value

Service will:

1. Declare you bankrupt for a fee of just £50
2. Last for just six months
3. Write off all of your debts

Consequences of using MAP:

• Detrimental impact on credit rating for at least six years
• Cannot obtain credit for more than £2k upon discharge from MAP
• Cannot establish or run a business
• Potential employment consequences – check your employment contract
• Potential tenancy consequences – check your tenancy agreement
• Potential Hire Purchase consequences – check any HP agreements
